On Thursday, March 1, the Brookstreet Hotel hosted the 2018 TEDxKanata event. With eight speakers, the theme of Re:Design challenged us to think differently about everything from honeybees to a digital government, and from ocean conservation to taking technological risks.
Like many of you, I’ve watched TEDTalks on YouTube, so I had an idea of what was to come going into the evening. What I wasn’t prepared for, however, was to experience every emotion available to humankind and to leave feeling totally inspired and excited to start taking action.
The videos of the talks themselves will be posted to the TEDxKanata YouTube channel, so I won’t go in to detail about them – I wouldn’t do them justice anyway. Instead, here are some of the inspiring messages that stood out to me from each one.
How do you think we can Re:Design our future?
